Massacre of Al-Atbash family near Al-Abbas intersection (Gaza City)

On January 31, 2026, in a clear violation of the so-called ceasefire, an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential apartment located in front of Al-Ghalayini Tower, at the Al-Abbas intersection in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, near the Jabalia Junction.

According to medical sources, four Palestinians were killed in the strike, including two young girls and one woman, and several others were wounded, when Israeli warplanes struck the apartment building near the Abbas Junction.

Initial reports mentioned one-way drone struck the targeted apartment ().

Based on the preschool they attended, their maximum age is six years old. They are siblings.

At least 29 Palestinians, half of them children, have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since dawn, a day before the Rafah crossing is due to reopen.

According to Trevor Ball, the pictures show the remnants of an Israeli turbojet powered missile/one-way attack drone found after a strike in Gaza City that reportedly killed 4 people, including a woman and 2 children. (This same munition has been used in two strikes on Nasser hospital, and strikes on two different schools)
