On September 9, 2025, in the morning, a young man with a disability (Dow Syndrom) was injured after being attacked by settlers in the village of Yabrud, northeast of Ramallah.
A group of settlers attacked the village and assaulted the young man, Saleh Shafiq, who has a disability, resulting in head injuries.
Then the Israeli forces stormed the village following the settlers' attack and fired tear gas and sound bombs towards the homes of the citizens.
According to his family, Saleh "was returning to his home after buying some items from a store in the village, when two vehicles stopped next to him and 4 settlers got out of them, and they severely beat him using sticks and iron bars". His brother Maher said, "The signs of disability appearing on Saleh (27 years old) did not help him, as the settlers beat him all over his body". He explained that Saleh's injuries "included an incision in the head that required 10 stitches, as well as bruises and bruises on the face, back, and shoulder, which led to an imbalance and difficulty walking and chewing". Maher confirmed that his brother "stayed for about 5 hours in a hospital in the city of Ramallah (central) under observation before leaving for his home at dawn". He pointed out that "the attack reflects the daily harassment to which the villagers are exposed due to attacks by settlers who have established settlement outposts on village lands, targeting its water spring and irrigation pipes".
Saleh testified that he was beaten on the head, back, chest, face and hands, indicating with his hands that the aggressor settlers were carrying weapons.
