Security Apartheid : Four Palestinian citizens of Israel killed in the Iran strike of Tamra

Israel, Tamra 15 June, 2025
At least 5 martyred
Tamra, a city of 37,400 where four women from one family were killed by a missile yesterday, has zero public shelters, while the Jewish town of Mitzpe Aviv (population 1,100) right next to it has 13. Footage circulated where Israelis celebrated as Iranian missiles struck the predominantly Palestinian Israeli town of Tamra. Four Palestinians from the same family were killed after a missile hit a residential building in the town. ![](https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/690b6f86846a62eb06648724d385666b71dd92ee/0_0_6240_4160/master/6240.jpg?width=1300&dpr=2&s=none&crop=none) *Ruins of the Khatib family home in which Manar Khatib, her two daughter and sister-in-law all died in two ‘safe rooms’ in the blast from an Iranian missile. Photograph: Quique Kierszenbaum/The Guardian* Many Palestinian citizens of Israel don’t have access to safe rooms or underground shelter, while Jewish Israelis do. This isn't neglect, it's deliberate. Iran’s missile strikes revealed the systemic discrimination faced by Palestinian citizens. The unequal response underscores Israel’s apartheid system, where Palestinians are treated as second-class citizens even in life-or-death situations. Tamra’s mayor, Mussa Abu Rumi, stated that the Israeli government has never built a single shelter in Arab towns, exposing racial inequality in civil defense infrastructure. Despite pledging loyalty to Israel, residents in Tamra feel neglected and unprotected, with rescue efforts left largely to locals. The mayor and others point to growing far-right influence in Israeli politics and systemic discrimination as root causes of such disparities. Ayman Odeh, Knesset member and friend of the victims, criticized the Netanyahu government, accusing it of exploiting conflict and ignoring the unresolved Palestinian issue. **Name of the victims:** Manar Al-Fakhri Khatib / Khatib Manar Al-Qassem Abu Al-Heija / Khatib Shatha Khatib Razan Khatib Hala Khatib

Pogrom in Israeli prison in retaliation of Iran attack

Negev, Israel 14 June, 2025
Israeli prison forces have launched a violent crackdown on Palestinian prisoners across several detention centers over the past few days, storming prison cells and beating detainees under the pretext that they were celebrating Iran’s retaliation attacks on Israel, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS). Israeli authorities, through a spokesperson for the Israel Prison Service (IPS)—the security unit responsible for managing Israeli prisons—have released footage showing prison guards taking disciplinary action against inmates who were seen cheering in support of Iran’s recent missile strikes. The video has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about the treatment of prisoners amid escalating regional tensions. During Shabbat, several incarcerated individuals, referred to as "terrorists" by Israeli authorities, were reportedly beaten and subjected to "disciplinary" measures after allegedly celebrating the rocket attacks targeting Israeli civilians. These actions were carried out following an order from National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. In numerous Israeli detention facilities, Palestinian inmates were reportedly assaulted by prison forces, placed in solitary confinement, and stripped of various "privileges" under heightened security protocols. **An incitement article from Eliana Fleming on jfeed.com speak about one of an incident:** During a rocket barrage targeting Israeli civilian areas, Palestinian inmates in an Israeli prison were reported to have celebrated in "A central Israeli high-security facility". The Israel Prison Service, under Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi, deployed the elite Metzada unit to conduct a controlled raid. The inmates involved faced disciplinary hearings and punitive measures. **The perpetrators** The Metzada Unit (Hebrew: יחידת מצדה) is the tactical unit of the Israel Prison Service (IPS), tasked with arresting escaped prisoners, conducting hostage rescues, leading special operations and prison raids, managing prison riots, and providing VIP protection. It is one of five official hostage rescue units in Israel and operates nationwide under the direct authority of the IPS Chief of Operations. Since 2006, the unit has also been subordinate to the IDF General Staff and may participate in military missions with the IPS Commissioner’s approval. Metzada specializes in the use of non-lethal weapons, and its instructors provide guidance to the broader Israeli defense community on related tactics. **PPS statement** Amjad al-Najjar, head of the PPS, said in a press statement that Israeli suppression units, accompanied by police dogs, raided prisoner sections, brutally assaulting detainees with batons and tear gas after handcuffing them. He described the scenes as devoid of any basic standards of human dignity. He described the operation as a “systematic campaign of repression” inside Israeli occupation prisons. He warned that prisoners are enduring increasingly harsh conditions as the prison administration intensifies its punitive measures. “The Israeli occupation authority is exploiting the world’s focus on the Iran-Israel escalation to exact revenge on Palestinian prisoners, away from international scrutiny,”(...). “The risk to their lives grows with each passing day.". In response to the ongoing abuses, Palestinian institutions have sent urgent letters to the United Nations and various human rights organizations, urging immediate action to halt the violations and to hold Israeli authorities accountable.

Total lockdown of West Bank

West Bank 13 June, 2025
On June 13, 2025, Israel Imposes full lockdown on West Bank following It's attack on Iran. After launching an attack on Iran, Israel has imposed a full military lockdown across the occupied West Bank, citing security concerns. The Israeli military has deployed large forces, sealed off key areas, and heavily restricted Palestinian movement — measures widely condemned as collective punishment. - City Lockdowns: Entrances to Jericho, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, and Nablus have been completely closed. - Border Sealed: The King Hussein Bridge (link to Jordan) is shut in both directions. - Movement Restrictions: Enforced using iron gates, dirt mounds, and military checkpoints. - Israeli forces opened fire on civilians and journalists near the Deir Sharaf checkpoint (Nablus). - In Qarawat Bani Hassan (Salfit), civilians were fired upon while attempting to cross iron gates. - Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem was forcibly evacuated and closed during dawn prayer. This violates, once more time, the status quo.The move sparked widespread criticism for violating religious freedoms. **Apartheid in security** - Settlers receive military protection and direct instructions but Palestinians are left without guidance, shelter, or emergency measures.Israeli citizens are told to stay home and stock supplies for two weeks but no such provisions are offered to Palestinians under lockdown. **Military Deployment:** Israeli military is mobilizing massive forces across the West Bank and placing all towns under lockdown “until further notice.” Alert levels are raised on all borders.Northern forces are prepared to defend or attack, according to The Times of Israel. **Ongoing Actions & Escalation:** - Additional Closures: Entrances and intersections blocked in Salfit, Nablus, northern Jerusalem, and Tulkarem. - Militarized Raids and Bulldozing in Jinsafut (Qalqilya), an entrance was sealed by a military bulldozer. - The town of Zeita (north of Tulkarem) experienced a full military raid. **Settler Violence:** Armed settler mobs attacked Palestinian vehicles in the Rammeen Valley and Burqa (northern West Bank). **Palestinian Response:** Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi condemned the lockdown as collective punishment and a grave violation of international humanitarian law.He stated that the blockade of main roads and suppression of movement is part of a broader pattern of targeting civilians. He emphasized that Palestinians are being made to suffer while the international community remains largely silent. He emphasized that Palestinians are being made to suffer while the international community remains largely silent. On June 18, 2025 The Israeli military installed a new iron gate at the main entrance of the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, in the West Bank. The gate effectively closes the checkpoint in both directions, aimed at restricting the movement and freedom of Palestinian residents, Wafa wrote. There is another gate at the southern entrance to the town. Jerusalem is now surrounded by 85 barriers. Jerusalem governorate [statement](https://www.middleeasteye.net/live-blog/live-blog-update/israel-installs-iron-gate-entrance-palestinian-west-bank-village-near) The policy "is part of a strategy for full control over the city, including its Islamic and Christian holy sites". The governorate expressed concern over intensifying Israeli actions, which it says are designed to keep Jerusalem in a stranglehold and isolate it from other Palestinian communities. Other Israeli measures it cited include an increase in military checkpoints, and an increase in land expansion and annexation plans. It also added that the international community’s silence effectively grants Israel the green light to advance its "colonial and Judaization schemes".

Settlers & soldiers pogrom in Beita

West Bank, Beita, Jabal Bir Qouza 12 June, 2025
On June 12, 2025, settlers based on Mount Sabih, backed by Israeli forces, launched coordinated attacks on Palestinian neighborhoods near Beita—damaging vehicles, attempting home invasions, and injuring several Palestinians, some seriously. The Israeli settlers from the illegal Avitar outpost on Mount Sabih stormed Beita’s neighborhoods of Za’tara and Jabal Bir Qouza. They damaged vehicles, attempted to break into homes, before local residents confronted them and forced them to retreat. Three civilians were injured, including with fractures and bruises, and others suffered tear gas exposure. WAFA (Palestinian News Agency) confirmed the coordinated settler assaults on residences in Za’atara and Bir Qouzah south of Beita. Settlers vandalized multiple vehicles and attempted forced entry before Palestinian resistance pushed them back. **Context & Pattern:** These attacks form part of an intensifying wave of settler violence in Beita, often occurring with the tacit support of Israeli forces. Similar incidents include attacks on agricultural lands and homes in nearby areas, underscoring a broader trend. ![](https://english.palinfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/beita.jpg)

Raid in Nablus and assassination of Nedal and Khalid Mahdi Ameera

West Bank, Nablus 10 Jun, 2025 - 11 Jun, 2025
At least 2 martyred
Since the morning of June 10, Israeli forces have been raiding the Old City of Nablus in the occupied West Bank — storming homes and shops, abducting dozens of Palestinians, and assaulting civilians and paramedics with live ammunition. **## Assault and summary execution of two unarmed brothers** In the same raid, two brothers — Nedal and Khalid Mahdi Ameera — were killed. At the Martyrs’ Roundabout in central Nablus, Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian youth. The young man, seen unarmed with his hands raised, was assaulted by one soldier, then by four others. As he tried to defend himself — possibly grabbing at a soldier’s rifle — he reportedly injured four soldiers. Seconds later, he was executed. When paramedics attempted to reach him, Israeli forces opened fire, injuring one and blocking Red Crescent teams from providing care. Soldiers also directly targeted ambulances with live rounds near the Martyrs’ Roundabout, causing damage. While Israeli media claims the youth tried to seize a weapon, available footage tells a different story. Two AFP journalists reported witnessing soldiers shoot a Palestinian man before taking his body. The army did not immediately respond when AFP reached out for comment. Hundreds of journalists, including international media representatives, were present at the scene. In December 2025, B’Tselem and the French Forensic NGO INDEX published an investigation presenting evidence that the two brothers were unarmed and were shot by Israeli soldiers either while on the ground or in the back as he was fleeing. **B'tselem statement:** *"In response to the incident, the military claimed that the brothers were “terrorists” who had tried to seize a soldier’s weapon and injured four soldiers, and that they were shot in self-defense. Yet forensic analysis and eyewitness accounts show this claim to be false – an attempt to legitimize an unjustifiable killing. A joint investigation by B’Tselem and @index_ngo found the ‘Amirah brothers did not confront the soldiers and posed no threat: Khaled was executed with a point-blank shot to the head while pinned to the ground and surrounded by armed soldiers, and Nidal was shot in the back at close range while unable to flee. The soldiers also prevented paramedics nearby from providing them medical care. (...) Israel’s apartheid regime continues to treat Palestinian lives as entirely disposable. Even when the killing takes place in full view of cameras and clearly violates the law, no one is held accountable. The international community must do everything in its power to stop Israel’s crimes."* **Other Violations:** Shortly after midnight, dozens of Israeli military vehicles entered the town. According to an AFP correspondent, a curfew had been announced the day before through loudspeakers. Soldiers opened fire with live rounds and tear gas, resulting in at least 27 Palestinians suffering from tear gas suffocation — including children — according to Amid Ahmed, director of the Red Crescent Emergency and Ambulance Center in Nablus. Approximately 250 houses were raided. Dozens were injured or abducted. At least 80 Palestinians were wounded — including paramedics and children — from live bullet fragments, tear gas inhalation, beatings, and even a military vehicle running over a citizen. The army stormed homes and shops across multiple neighborhoods, forcing residents to evacuate and converting some homes into military outposts, while snipers were deployed on rooftops. Israeli forces detained an unspecified number of young men, without revealing their identities. Homes were targeted with both live bullets and tear gas canisters, while additional arrests were carried out. **Assault on Journalists:** A WAFA correspondent reported that the Israeli army obstructed the work of journalists and prevented coverage of the military incursion. **Educide:** The Nablus Education Directorate announced the suspension of all school operations in the city and the postponement of unified exams until next Monday. **Perpetrator (per Israeli sources):** The Israeli army stated on X that the army, Shin Bet (internal security), and the Border Police jointly carried out the military operation on Tuesday in the Kasbah neighborhood of Nablus' Old City. **Martyrs names:** - Nedal Mahdi Ameera - Khalid Mahdi Ameera
