The day was marked by an extreme escalation of airstrikes on Beit Lahia that were relentless in the morning and decimated the houses of multiple families. The airstrikes came in the wake of two developments the day before (November 5): forced displacement leaflets ordering the evacuation of areas in Beit Lahia, and the dismissal of ex-Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant and his replacement by Israel Katz. Civilians confined indoors during the operation; schools suspended for two days. **Infrastructure:** Bulldozers destroyed streets and primary electricity sources, leading to a complete city-wide power outage. Massive damage to civilian infrastructure, including homes and public facilities.
