The incident occurred Wednesday when students from Ibn Khaldoun School in Sakhnin were visiting Shokek park, where they were beaten and sprayed with tear gas and pepper spray. Two school staff members were also injured. Footage shared online shows distressed children lying on the ground in tears. While all those injured were later released from hospital, parents and teachers say the students are suffering lasting psychological trauma. The school community held marches and a sit-in on Thursday, condemning what they described as a racially motivated attack.
